This month, we close the chapter on Mine Entra 2026 — and one thing is undeniable: it was a huge success.
The halls were packed. The conversations were about money, markets, and the future. And the message from every aisle was clear: Zimbabwean mining is no longer just about digging. It’s about building enterprises that are efficient, safe, bankable, and ready for the world.
At ZiMining, Zimbabwe’s best mining, engineering and transport magazine, we were right in the middle of it. Because that is where our industry lives — at the intersection of rock and revenue, of engineering and execution, of policy and production.
Across the show floor we saw Zimbabwean excellence on full display: National Cranes & Equipment bringing 25 years of lifting expertise to the toughest sites.
Koupa Mining Solutions keeping plants running with interchangeable, high-performance pump parts and some of the fastest lead times in the market.
Jadecon Construction and Engineering living its promise to “Build it Strong, Build it Smart… From Vision to Reality, With Excellence.”
And technical teams engineering data-driven blasting solutions that prove every blast can be measured, improved, and monetized.
The common thread? We are building businesses, not just projects.
That shift is led by people. In this edition we profile the top management at RAM Mining, one of the country’s fastest-growing mine contractors. Their story is Mine Entra in human form. Promoting from within. Mentorship with accountability. Young leaders like Site Manager Rolland Zenda rising from Graduate Trainee to running a 120-person fleet with 15 x 60-tonne trucks and 2 x 100-tonne excavators.
As RAM Mining leadership told us: “A safe operation is usually a more efficient operation” and “Leadership is about influence, discipline, and the ability to bring people together.” That is the mindset driving Zimbabwe’s next decade of mining.
We also dive deeper into sustainability and inclusion with planetGOLD Zimbabwe. Their message was powerful: “The transition to mercury-free mining is actually an economic transformation.” When women become equipment owners and processing entrepreneurs, when finance fits mining cycles, and when environmental stewardship unlocks responsible markets, then doing the right thing becomes the most profitable thing.
That is the future Mine Entra pointed us toward. And that is the future ZiMining will continue to report, analyze, and champion.
