Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Development, Eng Fred Moyo, will be the Guest of Honour at the 54th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Association of Mine Managers Zimbabwe (AMMZ) in Nyanga.
The prestigious conference, organised by AMMZ in conjunction with the Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe, will run from 01 to 04 November 2026.
Eng Moyo’s presence underscores Government’s commitment to engaging with mine managers at a time when the mining sector is under pressure to translate strategic plans into measurable performance.
This year’s conference is being held under the theme “From Plan to Performance: Operational Excellence, Safe Production, Sustainable Value.”
The theme speaks directly to the Ministry’s thrust on improving operational efficiencies, strengthening safety, health and environmental standards, and ensuring mining delivers sustainable value to the economy.
The AMMZ conference is expected to bring together mine managers, executives, policymakers and suppliers to discuss practical solutions to challenges facing the industry — from safety and productivity to ESG and value addition.
