THE ASSOCIATION of Mine Surveyors of Zimbabwe (AMSZ) has praised President Emmerson Mnangagwa for what it called “visionary and transformative leadership,” joining other mining sector bodies in marking his birthday.
AMSZ, a member of the International Society for Mine Surveying, said it shared the sentiment with the Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe and other stakeholders across the sector.
“Your determination to build a modern, productive and prosperous nation inspires our commitment to professional excellence and national service,” the Association said in its message.
The group singled out the President’s youth empowerment initiatives, including vocational training and entrepreneurship support, saying such programmes equip young people with the skills and confidence to contribute to nation-building.
“As AMSZ, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting national goals through accurate mine surveying, responsible mineral resource management, professional integrity and the development of the next generation of mine surveyors,” the message read.
The Association wished Mnangagwa good health and “renewed strength” as he continues to lead the country’s development, closing with the greeting “Happy Birthday Your Excellency – Makorokoto, Amhlophe!”
Mnangagwa, who has made mining a key pillar of Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 growth strategy, has received similar goodwill messages from professional bodies across the country in recent days.
