Minex Chairman Munyaradzi Hwengwere is set to launch his new book titled The Great Dyke: Beyond The Rock on 5 November 2026 at King Solomon Hotel in Kwekwe.

The book launch is being organised by Minex under the theme Connecting Miners and Stakeholders in partnership with the Gifted Children Foundation.

Sell equipment, safety gear, chemicals or parts to mines? List your company for free and get seen by mining buyers across Zimbabwe.

The event is expected to attract miners, investors, policymakers and other key stakeholders from across Zimbabwe’s mining value chain.

According to the synopsis, the book goes beyond geology to tell the untold human, economic and historical story of the 550 kilometre geological feature that cuts across the heart of Zimbabwe and hosts world class deposits of chrome, platinum and other minerals.

Hwengwere, who also champions the Buy Zimbabwe campaign, says the book seeks to present the Great Dyke as more than just minerals.

The publication is described as a compelling narrative on communities, livelihoods and opportunities linked to the Dyke.

Organisers have announced a pre-order price of 20 dollars under a limited offer ahead of the official launch.

The launch will be held in Kwekwe, a town located at the heart of the Great Dyke and considered strategic to the mining sector.
